Risky Business - Doing Business with the Wrong People

Our firm recently organised a breakfast event on "Risky Business - doing business with the wrong people", sponsored by World-Check, a database organisation that acts as an essential tool for background and pre-employment screening, fraud prevention, government intelligence and enforcement and other identity authentication and risk-prevention practices.
The speaker, Mr David Leppan, founder and CEO of World-Check discussed about reputation risk and damage caused by not properly identifying customers or associates when entering into a business relationship.
The event attracted delegates from a diverse range of industries - close to 70 delegates attended the one- and-half-hour briefing at Tanglin Club.

A breakfast briefing on "Doing Business in Indonesia" was organised by Shanker Iyer & Co at the Tanglin Club Singapore. Singapore’s 2005 Budget was announced on 18 February 2005. The Prime Minister gave his assessment of the economy and set out tax new measures aimed at SMEs, and a series of refinements to existing tax incentives and programs. Shanker Iyer and Richard Ellard presented the budget proposals to members of the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and the British Chamber on 25th February 2005 as well as American Chamber of Commerce on 10 March 2005 and addressed member’s questions.
